Presentation and formatting
Manuscript length: The maximum length of each chapter is 10,000 words, everything included.
Language: Use British English.
Number of decimals: Present percentages as integers (no decimals). Presente all other figures with no more than two decimals. Three decimals is permitted for R-squared.
Levels os statistical significance: Use asterisks to indicate levels of statistical significance.
Logistic regressions: Analyses reporting logistic regression coefficients should report the coefficientes themselves, not exponent β.
Gender: In tables/figures as well in the text, use the term “gender” rather than the term “sex”. If you need to talk about anonymous individuals in singular form and cannot avoid using a pronoum, use the phrase “he or she” rather than “he” or “she” alone. Since “he or she” becomes clumsy if used repeatedly, try to avoid it to the extent possible. Often (but not always), this can be accomplished by switching to the plural or the passive form.
